William Russell Allen House : ウィキペディア英語版 | William Russell Allen House
William Russell Allen House is a historic house at 359 East Street in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. It was designed by H. Neill Wilson, and built in 1886 as a town house for William Russell Allen, a wealthy member of a locally prominent family. The house is an early work by Wilson, who went on to a long a successful career as an architect in Berkshire County and elsewhere. The house is an early example of the Shingle style of design. The first floor exterior is constructed of bluestone quarried in Great Barrington, and the upper floors are clad in terra cotta, an uncommon finish in the area. The interior contains numerous examples of high quality craftsmanship, in woodwork, stone, tile, and stained glass.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=MACRIS inventory record for William Russell Allen House )〕 The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.〔 ==See also==
